Specialty Contact Lenses

At EyeCare Optical

We offer a wide variety of specialty contact lenses and our opticians will work hard to ensure they are fitted properly for your unique eyes.

  • Scleral lenses that are larger in diameter to vault and protect the cornea for conditions such as keratoconus, corneal transplants, severe dry eye and other corneal pathology or dystrophies
  • Rigid, gas-permeable lenses that hold their shape on an irregularly shaped cornea
  • Hybrid lenses that are also larger in diameter but contain both a rigid, gas-permeable center and a soft silicone hydrogel peripheral zone so they are more comfortable
  • Bifocal or multifocal lenses for people who have refractive errors as well as presbyopia (the stiffening of the eye lenses that makes it difficult to see things clearly up close)
  • Toric lenses to treat astigmatism
  • Lenses for severe dry eye that can keep the eyes hydrated

To learn more about these options, please contact us to schedule an appointment.

Why Choose Us?

EyeCare Optical has served the East Tennessee community with quality eye care since 1952. Thousands of patients in our area have received our vision correction lenses. It’s what motivates us to keep learning about new products and techniques, honing our skills and using our knowledge to help others.

We enjoy spending time with patients to explain what’s happening inside your eyes, what products are available and what to expect with each one. You’ll receive premium treatment every step of the way. If you need eye care, we’re simply the best choice in East Tennessee.

“Dr. Invergo [Taylor] is the star of this location! Her knowledge and skill for fitting specialty contact lenses is unmatched. I have a very high prescription and astigmatism, where most optometrists find it difficult to fit me for lenses, but Dr. Invergo [Taylor] not only specializes in these types of cases, but she also wears Scleral lenses herself. She even understands how the insurance billing works so you don’t have to pay if you qualify as medically necessary. And I’m so glad she works out of this location, so I don’t have to drive to Knoxville or further.”
